Wow, just wow. Here is 'somebody' Carlson telling us all we should get used to the idea of free speech and that people are allowed to say what they want and speak their truth, which may not be truth. OK got that bit. So how is it then, that when Piers Morgan's co-host says something PM doesn't like or supposedly 'ain't true' off he goes like a three year old and has a massive tantrum. Pots and kettles I say. Thank God he's gone. Likewise, 'the right' have adopted words like 'woke' and 'cancel culture' and 'looney left', which we are subjected to ad nauseam; just because we don't like their right wing commentary . Hypocrisy is the only word that comes to mind. Meghan Markle has more decency in her little finger than this bloke.

Piers redefines "free speech" here. Free speech is not some lofty ideal, where one person gets to say whatever they want without repercussion, where everyone has to accept your opinion. Free speech is quite literally your right to speak without the *government* penalizing you. He did not lose his job at the hands of the government. He lost his job as a product of free-market capitalism. The private network decided it would make better business without Piers Morgan's name attached to it any longer.

She seems as if she expected the royal family to give her center stage and kneel to her. I’m glad you stood up for your principles. I love Sharon Osborne and I have mad respect for her for not stabbing PM in the back and being a true friend.. I still don’t understand the tv spot with Oprah what was really the point? Bashing the royal family with innuendo and playing the victim is not a good look for either of them. The interview was rather boring just accusations with no evidence.

I'm no fan of Piers - he can be a right pain in the chuff at times. That said, I admire him standing up to the like of Megan Markle. Piers savors his beliefs and is passionate about his right to free speech, and I have defended, fought, and been wounded for protecting that right (March 1969), however he does not provide that same consideration of my rights under the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. He was removed from his job as an editor for showing doctored images on the front page but calls Meghan a liar with zero proof. He claims to of not been allowed to speak but he was THE lead presenter of the most popular morning show for 5 years and gets ample support and airtime from media. He spent alot of time on that platform bashing people, hounding guests and on multiple occasions trashing Meghan so please don't fall for the idea that he has in anyway been a victim or not given freedom to say what he wanted.He did and has for a long time.Viewers complained in their thousands as people do not play when it comes to mental health and THAT is why he had to leave.He mocked the idea that it is even possible that she was struggling mentally and chose the day after to bully her some more for good measure.A woman he called a friend but who stopped communicating with him, he has used his platform to even that score for all the wrong reasons.He is no hero.
